According to Mercedes-Benz, this sedan hits 60 miles per hour in just 5.9 seconds, and he has a range of 350 miles.
If you get the EQS 580 with AWD instead, you still get a healthy 340 miles of range. This model comes with two electric motors that combine to produce 516 hp and 631 lb-ft of torque. The automaker claims he needs only 4.1 seconds for this EV to reach 60 mph.
Both share the same top speed of 130 mph. The 450+ models are fitted with 20″ wheels while the 4Matic 580 is fitted with 21″ wheels. Both offer a comfortable ride thanks to standard air suspension.
All Mercedes-Benz EQS models seat five in standard ventilated and heated leather seats. Each EQS also has its own 12- to 13-inch touchscreen and digital gauge cluster. Both have standard navigation systems with augmented reality (AR) graphics.
Riders benefit from a panoramic roof, wireless smartphone integration and a premium Burmeister stereo system boasting 15 speakers. A Hyperscreen upgrade adds a touch display to the passenger seat. The EQS has the latest version of his MBUX infotainment system that offers OTA updates.
Both versions of the Mercedes-Benz EQS come in three trim levels and various packages that offer more options. Advanced driver aids are all standard, with the exception of a heads-up display with an optional AR element. At a minimum, you can expect to pay $102,310 for the base trim and $125,900 for the 4Matic model.

Critics are quick to praise the acceleration capabilities of the Mercedes-Benz EQS. Both powertrains offer extremely quiet operation and are quick due to their high torque output. However, most reviews tend to describe its handling as “balanced” as opposed to athletic.
Reviewers praised the car’s comfortable ride in all drive modes, with little detectable body roll from the EQS. The regenerative braking was easily adjustable, and the driver also enjoyed his 10-degree rear axle steering.
Many EQS reviews also praised the build quality of the car’s interior, highlighting the decorative wood trim and plush leather seats. Even with the sloping roofline, most critics were impressed with the spaciousness of the Mercedes-Benz EQS. Reviews also confirm that the EQS has plenty of usable cargo space in the trunk area.
One thing that can frustrate EQS owners
Some US News critics believe the Mercedes-Benz EQS’s infotainment interface doesn’t offer enough physical control. Environment and audio settings should be adjusted with touch sliders, which may be too distracting for some drivers.
Other critics, however, argue that the touch-operated buttons are large enough and convenient. Despite its triple-figure price tag, critics agree that the interior quality and exceptional electric drivetrain prove its worth.
